RETINA

Violet Suk and Martin Koch explore aesthetic archetypes of cyberpunk with the backdrop of a large, sprawling metropolis, neon & smoke and the reconfiguration of the human body through machines. Using the visual language of music videos and tv-spots Suk & Koch are building a scenery of transformation and manipulation of the human body that culminates in a choreographed, mechanical ballet of man and machine.

A futuristic imagining of narcissistic duplication by industrial means. our interpretation of the notion "Future Beautiful" for the Exhibition TEKKO 03.

RED BULL - X13 MOTUS LUX LUCIS

we were commissioned to create a 90 second short film featuring the iconic red bull can for an episodic TV Art show series entitled X13. we deconstructed the can and its contents through rhythmic multi-layered juxtaposition of images by utilizing mirrors, moving lights, macro photography and layered sound design.

The story features a serial heart breaker in a nighttime metropolis, where things are not what they seem and a mystery begins to unfold. We shot the teaser in sequential photos utilizing a shift & tilt lens , which we later frame interpolated to create the otherworldly and unsettling motion of the characters.
